Our Mission
- Showcase and share India’s rich culture and heritage through various events during the Festival of India.
- Educate and make America aware through a display of moving tableaus depicting scenes from a kaleidoscope that is India.
- Presentation of dances, music, drama and fashion shows.
- Simultaneously display an array of booths selling food, garments, jewelry literature, arts, crafts and information resources.
- Seminars addressing current issue.
- A free health fair that speaks of our tradition for caring and sharing.
Highlights
- Independence Day Parade with floats depicting Indian scenes and culture. Taking of the salute by VIP dignitaries. Indian ethnic dances and people dressed in colorful Indian attires.
- Health Fair where over 100 Indian American Physicians and allied health professionals will provide free medical services.
- Cultural shows like Indian dances, classical and folk music, Gazals and qawalis, drama and fashion shows will be presented.
- A Mela (Fair) depicting an Indian bazaar comprising of booths and stalls will be the focal point where authentic Indian food can be tasted and handicrafts, jewelry and clothes can be bought. Also sponsors will display, sell and provide information about their products.
